SRE Engineering was built on a foundation that most firms spend decades trying to create. I grew up around New York City's most complex municipal infrastructure — not in a classroom, but in the field, alongside my father, Reza Marandi, P.E., who spent 27 years with NYC DEP as Director of Water Quality Construction. Throughout his 40 years in public infrastructure, he has overseen nearly three billion dollars in capital work and continues consulting with us today.

Before I understood the industry, I understood its purpose: that the infrastructure beneath this city is what keeps it alive, and the people who build it carry a responsibility few take seriously enough. Since 2011, we've been delivering that work with an operator's mindset, helping to advance two and a half billion dollars in capital projects across New York. We've worked on both sides of the table, as agency leaders and as consultants, which gives us a perspective most firms simply don't have. We bring an owner's mentality, treating every project like it's ours to protect, along with agency standards and a family's care for everything we do.

None of this is possible without the team we've built. We hire the best talent in the industry, people who don't just execute the work but take full ownership of it. We pair deep institutional knowledge with a modern approach, embracing new tools and methodologies without losing sight of what experience teaches you that no textbook can.
